Union Cemetery (Leesburg)
Established 1852. Located on the north side of Leesburg on Route 15, and within view of Ball's Bluff National Historic Park.
This cemetery was the main graveyard for most of the CSA soldiers who died in Loudoun County, including a vast number from the Mississippi Regiments. An excellent reference source for these burials is the book "No Sound Can Awake Them To Glory Again" by David Frantum and Clifford E. Henry of Union Cemetery, Leesburg.
